Rochester, N.Y. - Firefighters responded to a house fire on Jay Street Tuesday morning.
Deputy Fire Chief Martin McMillan says crews responded to a structural fire at a double house at 1372 Jay Street.
The fire started in a bedroom on the first floor. The second floor apartment is currently vacant.
No one was home at the time. There were working smoke detectors in the building.
The Red Cross will be assisting one adult and four children displaced by the fire.
Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
